Mo concerns about fogging etc being a new lens. Even has the groovy little Barnack lever for focus. Uses the plentiful and cheap 39mm Leitz filters. Mine has good sharpness and contrast. I'll send you a test example. Its not worthy of posting to the group, just being a test shot. What finder do you plan to use on the 111c/111f? Cheers Hoppy -----Original Message----- Subject: Re: [Leica] Experiences with 35/3.5 Elmar and 35/3.5 Summaron Daniel Just an idea - have you thought about the very small 35/2.5 W-Nikkor-C (LTM), see http://tinyurl.com/32edo4 ? The lens is certainly a better performer than the 35/3.5 Elmar. I have one and am thinking of buying a LTM Leica body just for that lens. Actually I have it on the Bessa L with the 35 minifinder - kind of Leica I feeling with inbuilt meter and flip-out back door... The way photography is working out, I end up using a digital outfit for quite a lot, but want to have a 400 b/w body along for the ride. The screwmount Leicas work out nicely for this and the 50/3.5 Elmar is a good companion. > >I'd like a 35 mm that compares with the collapsed Elmar when it comes to >size and that leads me to these two lenses (in the subject line). > >I would expect that the 35/3.5 Elmar is not much of a performer.
