It's funny, I've known secular jews, professed atheists actually, who
nonetheless balked at eating ham, were in fact grossed out by it.
Then again, in college I had a roomate from an orthodox Russian jewish
family who kept strict kosher (you should have seen the care packages that
kid got from home) and the big sin-thing he and his buddy would do was cook
up a whole pound of bacon and gobble it.

Some friends recently brought me one of these Virginia mini-hams by
Edwards. I couldn't compare it to the Iberian one because I've never tasted
it, but the Edwards was excellent. The nice thing about it is that it's
