Some hate it for reasons which seem to me so very murky as to be really obscure. It is a great camera. It can be had cheap. It has hundreds of add-ons and doo-dads. I do not believe that anyone "collects" the IIIc. It is a tool, just like the wristwatch. If you have questions, pray, read my book on LTM camera lenses: I pretty honestly set out my adulation for the camera there. Bear in mind that I REALLY regard the Contax II as the ultimate P&S camera but I also love the Leica IIIc. Sunny 16 rules, of course. Marc msmall@aya.yale.edu Cha robh b?s fir gun ghr?s fir!
