I suspect you are being a bit too kind, but Helen will be very pleased ;-) Cheers and here's luck Alastair --- luisripoll@telefonica.net wrote: From: "Luis Ripoll" <luisripoll@telefonica.net> To: "'Leica Users Group'" <lug@leica-users.org> Subject: RE: [Leica] Arctic images Date: Wed, 31 Oct 2007 23:37:22 +0100 Hi Alastair, I've missed your first announcement of these wonderful images, you have showed one of the best collection of the Artic I never see, Thanks for showing! We loved the colour images, but I find the b/w stronger on some of the graphic type images. Glad you enjoyed our look at 80 degrees north ;-) Cheers Alastair --- r.s.taylor@comcast.net wrote: From: Richard Taylor <r.s.taylor@comcast.net> To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> Subject: Re: [Leica] Arctic images Date: Thu, 25 Oct 2007 21:03:18 -0400 How happy I am to have finally caught up with these. You have some amazing shots here, Alastair, with more than a few eliciting a small gasp of pleasure. With Philippe, I particularly liked the polar bear shots contrasting the blue/green water, blue/white ice and ivory bears. The one if the mother holding her cub on that small berg is absolutely wonderful, as are more than a few others of bergs, mountains and the light. For me the color shots worked better than the B&W, but many of those were fine, too.
