Its SS dial turns in the same direction as my R8s'. Its SS dial is wide enough to turn with one finger. That wonderful on/off switch prevents the batteries from dyeing every time the camera goes into the bag! The shutter is still the same silent cloth shutter -- only the timing circuit is electronic, so it is serviced in the same manner as M's have for 50+ years. How many M6's have unrepairable meters 30 or so years later? And come on, who but a certifiable Leica nut would notice the difference in appearance! Now if they'd only stick a self timer on it!
