I asked about the swelling of his legs and his reply: I have woodpecker legs. 15 years ago, following varicose vein surgery he said his legs looked like your tree!!!! Funny old world. His leg have been swollen ever since. Lesson 3: stay away from surgeons ;-) Cheers --- jhnichols@bellsouth.net wrote: From: "Jim Nichols" <jhnichols@bellsouth.net> To: "LUG@Leica-Users.org" <lug@leica-users.org> Subject: [Leica] IMG: Lesson Learned Part Two Date: Sun, 4 Nov 2007 22:38:14 -0600 LUGGERS, After blowing my first attempt to check out a lens with 4-yr old film, I threw most of the old stuff away and loaded a roll of C-41 B&W dated 2006. With this film, I got the checkout that I wanted, and picked up a few interesting shots along the way. I have place seven of these in a "Black and White" album in my gallery. These images were made with my old Pentax Spotmatic and a Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 1.4/50mm. This lens has a good reputation, but is new to me and I had to find out for myself. I am well satisfied with my sample. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/B-W/Shadows.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/B-W/Bark+Patterns.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/B-W/Woodpecker+Grafitti.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/B-W/This+Guy+Can+Count.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/B-W/Bark+and+Bokeh.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/B-W/Queen+Anne_s+Lace.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/B-W/Berries+for+the+Birds.jpg.html Comments and critiques are welcomed.
