Here is this year's photo: http://www.pbase.com/tinamanley/image/88478147 And the information on the back of the card: Dzendere Kadzea and her two daughters grind corn with a wooden mortar and pestle to make ugali, the porridge eaten with most meals in Kenya. Dzendere is a member of a women's dairy cooperative established by the women of six communities in the Kwale district of Kenya. The women received cows from Heifer Project International and, with the help of USAID, began a dairy business, delivering milk by bicycle to neighboring communities. In an area formerly dependent on the seasonal income from coconuts and cashews, the dairy project has enabled the women to keep their children in school year round.
