My suggestion is to use a different brand of film for a couple of rolls.

Ilford 120, for instance, is a real chore to get off the paper without
sending a little flash of static electricity. When it fogs film (the
little flash) it usually does it from the edge and then inwards, not
like your little defect. But who knows? It sure is a strange one.

Fuji film, Fomapan don't use the same kind of tape as Ilford films. It
could be that your brand of film is liable to do this to (this=
flashing when ripped off).
