I only had one problem and it was as simple as taking out the one print head, cleaning it with distilled water and a lint free cloth, and putting it back in the printer. I don't particularly like the single paper feed mechanism for heavier papers, that should not be put in in the paper tray, when making multiple prints. I learned early on that putting paper in the tray 'right side up' did not make a very nice print. :-) The Z3100 is also an wonderful printer. The automatic calibration for different papers is easy. There doesn't seem to be any need to manually calibrate. The colors are punchy, the B&W is extremely neutral. The ink carts seem to go on and on - I have never had a clogged head even after a month of not printing. (These experiences are not something that I could say about Epson, Canon came closer, but their dye based inks fade quite quickly.) I've tried some of the non-hp papers and they are ok, need some more experimentation though... HP have a web site where you can order free example prints. Mike
