Saludos cordiales Luis -----Mensaje original----- De: lug-bounces+luisripoll=telefonica.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+luisripoll=telefonica.net@leica-users.org] En nombre de Jim Nichols Enviado el: jueves, 15 de noviembre de 2007 0:01 Para: LUG@Leica-Users.org Asunto: [Leica] IMG: Flat Bed Scanner and 35mm Image LUGGERS, I have never considered flat bed scanners an option for 35mm scanning. However, in searching for an inexpensive way to digitize a number of 4x5 and 3.5x5 images that we inherited from my late father-in-law, I purchased an Epson Perfection 2450 scanner off *bay and needed to check it out. With no LF negatives close at hand, I pulled out some B&W images from about 4 years ago, made with my Leica IIIf RD, Summitar, and a deep yellow filter. I was pleasantly surprised in the results, and I am impressed with the scanner. This one has a lid light source large enough for 4x5, whereas the later models narrowed the source to handle MF negatives and 35mm only. The subject is a new middle school building not far from my house, which was just opening and landscaping had not been completed. The afternoon sun gave some nice shadows. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/Middle+School.jpg.html Comments and critiques welcomed.
