I am very fond of Provence Restaurant, 38 Macdougal Street and recommend it 
highly.

But I'm not sure it makes sense to fly to New York from Provence and then 
eat in a restaurant named Provence.

You can telephone them at +1 212 475 7500 to decide for yourself how 
authentic they are. Their food is wonderful and they are kind and generous 
people. At the very least they could give a fellow Proven?al some 
recommendations.
