I was taken by the series of faces and had the idea of placing these two against the repeating theme of those in the background. A lower angle would certainly have yielded a different effect and good photo, I think. Since the expressions are pretty goo, I might try reworking this one. I stumbled upon this gathering and spent half an hour moving amongst the crowd as well as making some pleasing portraits of the entertainer. Low profile, I definitely was not. I think that a number of people thought I was part of the entourage as I bobbed and weaved through the crowd. I had to be careful not to distract too much from the hard working entertainer (and he sounded pretty good, Ray Charles like). Interesting because they then tended to ignore me, all except for one darling young girl who was with her mum and family. You can see her in one shot. She was goggled eyed when I had to hold the baseplate in my teeth as I did a hurried film change. A very interesting situation and experience for me. Aaron, the entertainer is blind. He had an assistant offering his CDs to the crowd and also was receiving some busking type donations in his guitar case. I made a donation and bought a CD in thanks. So anyway, there was Aaron in the middle, a space with a quirky local grooving along plus an Aussie photog zipping around and then a large circle of audience. Those shots that aren't with a fifty were my little Elmar M 90. What a fantastic lens for this (and travel in general, I did half my sunrise landscapes with it too). I liked seeing this travelog. If you pardon one particular comment, in "more watching", <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/a/2_001/B19.jpg.html> I wish the two closest profiles were against less cluttered backgrounds. It seems that if the picture had been taken from slightly to the left and at a lower angle, both faces might be seen more clearly. I know this kind of micro-composition is hard to achieve in fluid situations, but if it is kept in mind, it might become second nature, and be achieved almost automatically. I had one mentor who used to joke, "Don't forget that your knees bend." I hope my opinion does not feel like an indictment. Thanks for showing your work.
