Keep it up. :-) In fact, I tried 90mm lens as well for street - to my surprise it worked not bad at all, but yet turned to be quite slow for typical street pace (slow in focusing), requires precise focusing on the subject and often flatten the perspective too much for my liking. Of course, that 90mm Elmarit is just gorgeous when it comes to dedicated portraiture though... Cheatin with AF cameras ? Xmm, I'm afraid I did not get your point ? What do you mean by that ? In fact I do not own an AF camera not to mention DSLR...neither I own anything except of my leica M system (M6 and M3). BTW, as about 50mm lens - it is still my main tool, in particular coupled to M3. Right now my M3 is on its way back to me from Youxin after minor repair, in the mean time (last few weeks) 35mm 'Cron took the majority of the workout on my M6. I'm planing to ship my M6 to Sherry or DAG for a basic CLA + RF anti-flaring upgrade, then 50mm lens will back to my hands on M3 as the main tool.
