Its marginally bigger brother, the 510 adds image stabilisation, more live view functionality (I think), WB bracketing and other nice features. That one is only marginally larger than the D40X which is sans stabilisation. Four thirds is not directly comparable to a "half frame" since the new ones are 10MP like the APSC designs, even though the sensor area is smaller, of course. A film half frame had half the resolution of its full frame equivalent since they had less "film grains" to aim the light at! 432 sq mm of emulsion vs 864 sq mm nominally. I agree most of the zooms have a largish form factor, owing partly to the designs to improve light angles arriving at the sensor. They are zooms of course and some have IS built in. They've got to scale down the camera to to get my attention. There are nice digital half frames out here (APS-2 or DX) which are half the size of these bloated 4/3's babies.
