I'm just an amateur photographer yet it's disconcerting not to be able to use words to express my subjective feelings. A career in science and medicine favored an analytic mind which seems useless when it comes to why I take a certain photo, what I feel about it, or someone elses. I just "know"...often feel sure, can't express it in words.... thanks Alan for commenting, and helping me understand I'm not alone.
