Are you still shooting with your M3?
Nobody ever needed a meter in a M until the M5 came out. Nobody ever 
needed AE on a M until the M7 came out. Remember?
I shot a few months with a Konica hexar rf. Although it wasn't as nice 
as an M7 I really liked the 1/4000th high shutter speed. Shooting tri-x 
with wider aperture all through the day. The M7/M6 are great camera's 
but the slow 1/1000th and slow flash sync are a draw back.
