The only way to know, of course, is to use the printers yourself, and that may not be practical for a number of reasons, including the time needed for the learning curve. I think you will find, like most, that one of the better Epsons, like the 2400 or 3800 or up, depending on your print size requirements, will be your best bet, along with custom paper profiles or a RIP like ImagePrint. You also have the option of buying third-party dedicated b&w inksets. Those work well if you print a lot so the cartridges don't have time to clog. Hope this helps a little.
