Doug,
 
My prayers and condolences are with you and your family.
 
It's a tough first year, but the good memories remain.  
 
I lost my dad eight years ago.  To this day, there are times I hear  his 
voice, his laugh, a bit of advice from the far reaches of my mind.  And  it 
brings 
a smile to my face.
 
Thank G-d for memory.  Our loved ones never really leave us.
