This is one of the very few times when I have stood in the pouring rain to get the shot I really wanted! But in Barbados the rain is warm... The fishing boat was just drifting across, so I waited for it. I had actually taken a look at the pier on a number of other occasions and sized it up. It just happened that on the day that I went over to have a good look the weather broke big time - so it all came together. I composed based on the verticals of the poles and the edge of the pier. The horizon must be an optical illusion caused by the enforced verticals. Happy New Year, Peter
