Your music machine looks wonderful!, I still keep a Lenco and for certain pieces I prefer my old vynil discs, in my opinion the sound is more warm, and reproduces better principally for the strings and voices, the CD is more spectacular but coldest..., maybe is similar on photography with film or digital. Not a soul around. I had just finished talking to my daughter in Texas. (I'm in Pa.). I decided to listen to some music, on vinyl. My living room was dark. Near the end of the record I stood and went to see how soon I would have to lift the stylus. As I looked down at the turntable it struck me. What a thing of beauty. And made on three different continents. It deserves to be photographed. So here it is. <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/LeonardT/M8/MusicMachine.jpg.html> or http://tinyurl.com/yu7qgd Here's the scoop. The turntable is an Oracle made in Canada. The tonearm is a SME IV.Vi made in the UK. The cartridge is a Koetsu Urushi made in Japan. The music is an American classic "Cosmo's Factory" by Creedence Clearwater Revival. For you technicians. Leica M8 and Noctilux at f1, ISO 1250 handheld at 1/6 sec. at a very close distance. The music was playing during the shot. I wish you all could listen to the record. Oh, all the electronics are tube (valve) made in Minnesota. The speakers are made by Danish craftsmen. Beautiful to see and to listen to.
