My best luck has been with Pentax sm where a bargain lens may be a missing lens cap but the lens itself looks mint. Leica M and LTM tend to be a little worse shape, maybe some light scratches to the body, but the glass perfect. A hasselblad 60mm marked bgn actually looked to me to be borderline ugly but the glass was nice. An M5 body marked ex actually looked mint-. The worst was a 50mm Summicron LTM marked EX+ where the aperture ring was frozen. That one was returned without question. My bottom line is I will take a chance on a bargain piece. If I don't like it KEH gives me 14 days to return it.
