this is off-topic except that someone on the LUG suggested
I buy the fuji f30 back in august '06--a purchase i'm still
very happy with.

i happened to notice that used
f30s seem to sell for over $300, which is odd for an 18-month
old digital camera which sold new for less than $300.

there's also a grumbling that fuji messed around  with the
high speed software rendering in the subsequent cameras up
to and including the f50 and somehow wrecked a good thing.

so do i have a mini-cult camera on my hands? :-)
