Yet, for me, Jessica did not show us Tulsa; anymore than today's war photographers show us the Korean war. My point: yes we continue to return to repetitive human themes. Yet these sad addicts are not those sad addicts. These victims of war are not those victims of war. Forty years have passed and we in our various cultures continue to make war and do drugs. I think it important to document these events in images and words. I do not intend this as a critique of Phil's remark. I understand it. Yet, I felt a note of caution regarding our potential numbness to these somewhat urgent themes.
