Never had any troubles screwing while travelling (or on home ground for 
that matter) when I was young. ;-)
Seriously though...
I still use the 2.5/135mm Super Takumar on Canon EOS - a beautifully  
constructed lovely lens - not quite up to its CZ 2,8 Sonnar counterpart, 
but I find it a touch better than the Leica Elmarit-R.
