How about if we dropped the use of the oh-so-precious term, "reportage" - which is rarely used in this country outside of Leica literature, and instead talk about what these photos are an example of - documentary photography. This young woman documented, in a way that combines anthropology and art photography, the sordid life in one apartment inhabited by heroin addicts. No more, no less.
