IMHO, if this lens was mine I would keep as it is, you already have modern lenses for perfect performances. First off my Summar isn't that great. It has a little haze which I'm planning to get cleaned up one of these days but the glass is free of cleaning marks. No coating to scratch I guess. I'm pretty surprised that it does OK for IR.
