As someone who had used Nikon for years before switching to Canon this past fall (40d, documented in a previous post), I have to say that I might end up buying some R glass and that might be the only differentiator. I kinda hate some of the ergonomics of the canon (the on off switch is in the *stupidest* place) but most everything else I'm enjoying. Its a very different tool than the M8, but I like it for many things... It took quite awhile for me to get a zoom lens on the canon I was happy with.
