It's one of my favourite lenses because it's fast and produces great looking images when working at 1.4, film or digital. Oh and with a macro adapter it's pure magical results wide open! :-) If one has this lens and doesn't use it at every opportunity at f1.4 for effective photos, it's like having a Noctilux and not using it at f1.0 as often as it can be used effectively. I like your photo other than for one minor nit picking thing. :-( This is truly minor but enough that it makes a difference if one wants close to perfection as possible! Or? Do you see the few strands of hair over her eye? Not much, but it was the thing that caught my eye before the over all image clicked in. Tiny thing, yes. But that's what sorts out a good solid photograph or one people pass by quickly without knowing why, but make a negative comment. Your point of focus is right on the mark.. "Her nearest eye ball perfect!" But those few strands of hair become a damn distraction when the eyeball is sharply in focus perfect. Actually it's beautifully executed, you just missed the one item that screwed it from perfect to a so so picture. Look, the important part to keep in mind here is, the execution of handling the camera and the capture of the moment. You did that perfectly! Don't forget that part. But this experience will make you look more carefully the next time. This is the same as when the subject is wearing glasses and the rim of the frame intersects the eyeball .. Absolutely ruins the photograph! Any way mon ami you're on the right track for the next opportunity.. Just watch for the hair. :-) ted _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
