They are different from the Kodak material, which was rated at 900nm. But for what I plan to do, Rollei or Ilford film will be enough. In the past when I used an M with IR, I always had a hot spot in the middle of the negative. It's the reason why I switched to metal shutters. I could use the camera without dealing with the lens cap issue. s.d. HIE production has stopped. Maco 820c doesn't work that well. Not much left to capture infrared with in the film world. I used to have an M4 body that I pretty much used only for Infrared. M's are about the best for that, what with the visually opaque filters, and the lenses generally are better corrected in the infrared region. > Just a basic set-up with a moderate wide. > But it all depends on how cheap I can get a body. > I'm much more comfortable with a metal curtain for infrared. > So far Nikons are the best bet. > s.d. > > On Jan 31, 2008, at 6:59 PM, Walt Johnson wrote: > > I was hoping to raise enough cash for a down payment on a Leica > brochure > > slobodan dimitrov wrote: >> Sell all that Walt, and you might be able to afford a Leica >> lens hood. >> s.d. >> >> >> On Jan 31, 2008, at 2:54 PM, Walt Johnson wrote: >> >> Have some items for sale: Buy any two items and get free >> shipping. :-) Otherwise price is plus shipping CONUS ONLY PLEASE >> >> Lowe Pro AW1 black back in excellent condition.....$2500 >> >> Nikon Gear......F3 in good condition....$225.00 >> Nikkor 24 mm 2.8 in excellent >> condition.....$100.00 >> Nikkor 50mm 1.4 also >> excellent...................$100.00 >> Nikkor 35mm 2.8 non ai / >> user.......................$25.00 >> Nikkor 200mm 4.0 >> ai'd...........good .............$60.00 >> Nikkor 55m 2.8 >> Micro....excellent................$125.00 ( this lens will make >> your Summicrons look like coke bottles) >> Vivitar 135mm 2.8 very >> good.........................$50.00 >> Tamron 19-35mm 3.5 >> autofocus....excellent....$50.00 >> Misc...................Domke bag >> (original, tan) used but still good....$50.00 (look and work like >> a pro with a bag designed by one) >> Minolta auto IV meter w/incident and >> reflected attachments....good .....$75.00 >> >> >> All lenses have filters, back caps, and some with shades. >> Absolutely no "cleaning marks" since those the marks of the >> unknowing (or is it the undead?
