"Sometimes the reader doesn't read the message correctly nor get their answer right! Like I didn't say nor ask this stupid question! "Ted Asked.... Why isn't the 15 rangefinder coupled? Anyone know? Technical limitation?<<<< Simply because I responded to it with the correct answer! It doesn't need to be coupled because the depth of field is so massive everything from one inch in front of our nose to the moon is tack sharp! So why the hell would it need to be focused?" There now that feels better! Thank you! ted -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+tedgrant=shaw.ca@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+tedgrant=shaw.ca@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Frank Filippone Sent: Friday, February 08, 2008 7:16 PM To: 'Leica Users Group' Subject: RE: [Leica] 15 zeiss Why bother? The lens depth of field is just about from here to infinity at settings of less than a few feet........ Data...... At F2.8 Set the lens to 9 feet.. everything from 3 1/2 feet to infinity is in focus...... At F4 set the lens to 7 feet... everything from 3 feet to infinity is in focus. at F5.6 set the lens to 6 feet... everything from 4 feet to infinity is in focus. Zone Focus that sucker! Or..... Isn't expensive enough as it is now? You want to add some parts? Increase the price? My God man, think of the Commonwealth and the Queen! Back to the first answer......
