I put a little dash of red in the shadows to try to simulate warm tone paper and selenium toner. It's a habit I got into. I prefer hard, hard, cold steeley blacks, but I have trouble getting them using digital methods. I don't know how Graham does it. Kyle's Leica 500CM stories may inspire me to go back to film. I think the origin of my red thing goes back to when I was using T400CN. I had trouble getting the killer blacks which I like so I let the prints go toward sepia so I did not have to fight with it. Thanks for your kind words. Barney On Feb 24, 2008, at 11:01 PM, G Hopkinson wrote: > Barney, that's a yummy photograph. Crisp, contrasty, well framed > and exposed.
