Except at stupid high ISO, my M8/Summilux-ASPH 35mm is just as great as my friend's Canon 5D and a 50/1.4 lens, in a much smaller, lighter package, with more accurate manual focussing. If I am to go on an extended trip, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another M8 today, with a full knowledge that a better one is on its way. I may buy a used one, however, if available.
