Yes unfortunately I did mix them up, too tired answering when I should've been head down after all the excitement of the first local film Premier and I should have said Afghanistan! Damn, enough troubles over that way in the world without me ticking off any folks over there! My apologies to the crew for a misleading post. ted -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+tedgrant=shaw.ca@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+tedgrant=shaw.ca@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Didier Ludwig Sent: Thursday, March 13, 2008 4:04 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: RE: [Leica] Paw 6 pictures from Iran Ted Is it possible you mixed up Iran and Afghanistan? Because NATO troops fighting Taliban happens in Afghanistan, not Iran. Iran is an islamic republic, and though their leader, Ahmadinejad, is a fundamental extremist, he is not officially linked to the Taliban, and the situation in Teheran can not be compared with Kabul. Just my 2 Rials! :-) Didier >>http://michielfokkema.wordpress.com/picture-a-week-2008/week-06/ > >Hi Michiel, > >Certainly a different peaceful view of Iran than those showing Canadian >soldiers fighting against the Taliban to uphold the freedom the Iranians now >enjoy to some degree. > >I wondered if under the rule of the Taliban could you roam so freely taking >pictures? > >Did you encounter anything of this anti- photographer nature? > >ted _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
