I have found that the 50 is a superb short portrait lens on the M8. Working at my usual contact distance there is an automatic tighter crop now! If I win the LOTTO, one of the 75's would be nice. The viewfinder frame lines are very conservative so maybe I am compensating just right there. These are virtually the full frame anyway. My son has reached the 'don't photograph me age' but my daughter is happy anyway. This is all just grab stuff. I think I do better, the faster and more casual I work. The one of my mum owes more to Photoshop than Solms, but the light was pleasing. Plus as the kids grow older they stay still longer.
