Go for it Gene and with the spare cash pick up the TEW its great ;-) Of course you won't be able to travel to Europe now, but after all, what's the trip of a life time versus the feel of new leica "stuff" :-) I do think you could ditch the SLR: after all, the wife is carrying one for "emergencies". How about the M8, your lens selection, and a M6 with 5 rolls of b/w film. The M6 will give you the "wider" view you would get with the extra lenes and now acts as a back up: you can always buy more film if necessary in Europe Cheers --- images@comporium.net wrote: From: Tina Manley <images@comporium.net> To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> Subject: Re: [Leica] Lens kit for europe Date: Tue, 25 Mar 2008 16:00:01 -0400 At 03:54 PM 3/25/2008, you wrote: >So Gene old buddy when you read this and Sonny's comments it might >be a couple of thoughts to consider. :-) >One M8, a couple of lenses and shoot everyone's butt off!:-) Go for >it! :-) I double dare you! :-) :-) >ted Even better, sell all of your SLR stuff and buy a second M8 ;-) Put a 15 (or 24) on one and a 90 on the other, two extra batteries in your pocket and a slew of SD cards. One extra set of underwear and a couple of pairs of socks and that's all you need for the whole trip!! We didn't check any luggage for a 5 week trip to India.
