Firstly the pic of Tina was with the WATE 16-18-21 finder fitted to the camera. It was not for the lens that Tina had fitted to the camera at the time. Very likely Tina was trying it earlier. Secondly, if you are using seriously wide lenses then you can take advantage of the large DoF and just have the lens preset surely. Then you can just use that really clear external finder with no distractions in it and shoot away (assuming you have the exposure sorted). At least as fast if not faster than normal operation, I think. Naturally, photogs more talented then I may be able to visualize without using any framing at all. My 2.2 cents Cheers Geoff http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/e http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/ -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Steve Barbour Sent: Friday, 28 March 2008 08:14 To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] CV 15mm lens on M8 On Mar 27, 2008, at 3:00 PM, Tina Manley wrote: > At 05:56 PM 3/27/2008, you wrote: >> Tina, >> >> For what I can recall of a picture you were holding your M8 with >> sort of >> bulky thing on top of the camera. >> I wonder what was that thing for, maybe you've already let us to >> know about >> so you please forgive... but...
