I prefer the moment, so I rarely use a tripod...

but.... given that we use these lenses for their quality, it seems  
contradictory and a shame that we compromise quality, by not using a  
tripod.

This especially so,  when many insist that for the highest quality,  
using a tripod often is the most important thing one can do.
