VR on a macro! I'm there! The 100th of a second with a 100mm lens rule does not apply to macro. VR it a VERY BIG DEAL. It stands for Vibration Reduction. Also stands for Virtual Reality. I believe the second definition is no more all encompassing than the first definition... In its effects on the way we shoot and our results. Using a tele Lenes or longer focal lengths at night or indoors with lower ISO's and lower shudder speeds has got to be devastating to ones photographic identity. And results. We may not have to be wide angle creatures any more. We really don't need fast glass so much any more. We can stop down and smell the roses.
