I showed the photos to my eight year old, as we listened to the full recording of MLK's final speech, and when I looked over at her, she had tears streaming down her face. Good photos elicit emotion, great photos dredge up the deep emotions of shared humanity. They really capture what appears to be the shocked dismay of people. Thank you so much for posting- Parker ==================== Thanks for your kind comments, Parker. You caught me off-guard for a moment because I had never considered that the pictures might be seen by young people who would not have had any experience of the times. Your description of viewing them with your daughter made me think of the one photo in the set that shows a white father with his own young daughter, whom he had brought to witness the march. I'm betting she remembers it to this day. You can't do any better than that as a parent. -- Phil Swango 307 Aliso Dr SE Albuquerque, NM 87108 505-262-4085
