Meet the George I son! His boy I phone - (never watches TV) Daughter I pod - (likes her Podcasts) "The Flip" - his wife = (make movies all day) edits them after dinner. People are making movies and stills with their cell phones and send them off to their friends instantaneously. Or the TV station or newspaper. Or they just add it to their own blog. Their "news" is other peoples Blogs. I read last week the big papers have all been cutting way back. Not just the small ones. I read it on my http://my.nytimes.com/ page which I personalized. On my Powerbook G4 12 inch. I click on it and it says "Hi Mark" at the top of the page. Or my http://news.google.com page which I personalized. My Yahoo Page has been mainly forgotten. Yahoo! Who would want to buy them? I buy AMERICAN PHOTOGRAPHER or just read it in the Barnes and Noble over expensive caf? mochas. Often adding flavor to the articles inside. People all get their news on the internet now. No one watches TV even. I don't own one. Everyone's got their headphones on. Listening to pod casts. Watching them even. Less "stumps of mystery" I guess. That's an Oregon thing. Before everyone forgot about the fact that there used to be trees. The newspapers are figuring out the internet and other modern wonders. They are still getting the news out. But they have to get it out in a way people want to receive it. And they do. I think for every one person who reads a paper version 100,000 read the pixel version. Guilty! I'm in that big group! I print stories from the news feeds mainly the NYTimes I get my info from. Read them on the Subway. People stare at me because I'm the only one without headphones. To me my new feeds, my personalized pages are integrated into my surfing the internet. I'm looking for things. Figuring out things. Wikirabiner Looks of time I google image search things and gaze at the contact sheets. Print them And put them under my pillow for the night. Just kidding. 1984 was 24 years ago. 2001 was 7 years ago. Its the future already. See those monkeys! They're being beamed up! I hope their molecules are in order!
