Just in this region a very young school-age child watched his father lock up his handgun, figured out where he stored the key, then carefully unlocked the safe and took the (loaded) weapon to school. Kids are smart -- even the very young can be deceptive -- and they have no real knowledge about what they're dealing with. Heck - most adults don't either. They live in a world of TV violence where a gunshot at close range to the chest counts as a flesh wound. I shouldn't reply - this is totally fodder for the other list.. ab
