[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Hi Len, I have purchased a cosmetically minty IIIF on e-Bay and sand to the God of the Leica Malcolm Taylor in UK, he has just today called me saying that my camera has been fully serviced with a new rangefinder and shutter mechanism, it cost me some money (some other I've been recoveed by the inssurance), and next week I'll have a IIIF as new as if I had purchased it on the factory on the 50's! I've not yet saw the pictures with the Elmar 65 I've purchased to Tony Rose...., last time I was very busiy on my work! I like the Elmar 3.5. I have 3 versions and even though my red scale gives sharper images, the nickel one is the most fun to use. Along with a black/nickel II or III body. Did you ever find a mint IIIf to replace your lost one? I know I would hate to lose mine.
