They did... but maybe because the Noctilux is the worst lens in this regards, an ALL the other lenses would be not in focus.. especially the 75,90, and 135's.......so they calibrated for the other lenses and the Nocti is the (almost) lone problem.... Can you imagine the complaints if ALL the more common lenses were out of focus, but the $7K (?) WAS in focus..... I can hear it now.... Hello Service? Yes All my lenses are out of focus Ah, you don't have a Nocti? No, Why? Buy the $7K Nocti, throw away all your other lenses, and then you will be happy......The Nocti is the only lens that focuses correctly on an M8. That would me it the last M8 ever sold....... BTW, you do realize that at best, the Nocti was designed using a slide rule? Have you used a slide rule to try to get more than 3 significant figures? The world's best F1 lens which was made for film...... not digital......What would you expect?... That they would say somewhere to NOT use the Nocti on an M8? I think the customer expectations somewhat need calibration......as well as the focus of an M8...... Have it fixed and get on with life.......it is certainly NOT the dumbest thong Leica ever did....... Frank Filippone red735i@earthlink.net
