Heintz. There are 199 photographs in total; in addition to John's pictures, there are about 100 photos by Jack Litrell, who is a Leica shooter, although not a LUG member. The subject matter is the argillite sculpture created by the Haida natives of the Queen Charlotte Islands, the western-most land mass in Canada. Unlike many "art" books, great effort was made to take the photographs in situ, which results in some very dramatic settings. If you would like to see sample pages of the book, three chapters are included on our website, www.frontenachouse.com. LUG members interested in purchasing copies would be welcome to our "best customer discount" of 40% off the regular list price of $50 casebound, $35 perfect bound (prices in Canadian dollars). We pay postage. Thanks, Rose Scollard, Publisher, Frontenac House
