The 21 is notable for very accurate and distortion free images. I see no appreciable vignetting effect either. The modest maximum aperture of course helps a lot there. It is very compact and well made. The hood makes it a little larger. Sharp and contrasty, neutral colour reproduction. Shooting directly into the sun I have seen more veiling glare than I would expect from modern Leica designs. Remember the price differential. There are some considerations with it relevant to the M8, but those don't apply with film M's. These examples are from an M7. <http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/image/92939173> http://tinyurl.com/3ku54b <http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/image/92958185> http://tinyurl.com/ynu6nc <http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/image/93331630> http://tinyurl.com/ysmy65 The 18 is just a great lens. Really, really impressive performance. Anyone using the CZ 2.8/35 or 4.5/21 on this list? Pictures somewhere? > Jan _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
