First make sure the 21mm SA lens will not interfere with the M8. In the M8 the 21mm Elmarit brings up the 28/90 mm frame lines. I would order one of these LTM to M adapters from John Milich which are machined woth slots to be coded. Leica has released two codes for the 21mm, Asph and non Asph. I would try and find out which of these two lenses more closely matches the vignetting properties of the 21mm SA and code my new adapter that way. The 21mm SA uses either a 48mm filter or a series VII filter. B+W makes a 48mm UV/IR filter and Leica has announced they will have a Ser VII. Most likely the M8 will do a fair job of correcting the vignetting and cyan creep but if it's close what little correction is needed should be able to be corrected by PS. You will need to use an external 28mm viewfinder for proper framing with the M8. Or you can use the full view of the M8 finder which is slightly wider then when using a 24mm lens. If anyone has done this or uses the 21mm SA on the M8 please let us know how it works out. Henning?
