Yes, the Rd-1 uses software fixes for WA's.  Can you hear the uproar if 
Leica did the same thing?  They would be roasted alive for doing a software 
fix.  We saw some of this when they announced the 6 bit coding for their 
lenses, people were ready to storm their doors at this heretical implication.
