The adaptor for M lens to Micro 4/3rd is going to be available in Japan on Dec 22 for Y 19,000 (US$204). Stephen Gandy will have it for US$175 shortly after that. I have asked my son in Tokyo to pick one up for me and then I am going to play with the G1 at the Panasonic showroom in Hong Kong and try to make up my mind whether or not I should buy one. The idea of accurate framing and magnified focusing is appealing but the Electronic Viewfinder puts me off. Please see this discussion with examples: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fphotofan.jp%2Fcamera%2Fhtml%2Fmodules%2Fnewbb%2Fviewtopic.php%3Ftopic_id%3D5605%26forum%3D2%26post_id%3D50572%23forumpost50572 http://tinyurl.com/648b6a and also see for pictures taken with a home made adaptor: http://forum.getdpi.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4194 At about US$890 in HK including the kit lens if the G1 works at all well with M lenses it might be a useful, inexpensive backup for an M8. The EVF is the big question mark. Maybe this time I won't be the early adopter that I usually am.
