Its going to be a very very tough time for all companies and Leica will no different. Dr. Kaufmann has said that the S2 will be price-competitive, and that the S2's technology will find its way into the M and R lines - meaning economy of scale. IMHO the S2's technology is Leica's future and that pricing (also IMHO) for future products including M and R will not be as insane as we've seen for products of the recent past. Dr. Kaufmann is willing to be patient, he's in this for the long run.
