It seemed dry (I know that's no indication of anything though). In an access of frustration, I put in the battery and turned it on. It's alive! It seems normal now. I'll leave it in a dry, warm place overnight anyway. Not that it would normally stay elsewhere. Thanks everybody for the advice.
